Gold Medal Edition Cutlass

Does anyone remember the Gold Medal Edition Cutlass for 1980? I owned one in the mid 90’s, unfortunately it was a work beater and not in real good shape. It did have a nice interior with a 307. I have not seen one since and don’t know what the significance was of that particular trim level.

That might have been a regional option. In the South, they were tagged with 'Southern Gold" emblems. I still have a bunch of the emblems somewhere.
