I was recently looking at a set of shorty 350 SBO headers for my 455, as I dont want full long pipe headers.
I was a bit wary of fitment on my B body but not any more.
Check out this video I found on pounding headers to fit. Dyno numbers conclude no difference in HP.
Seems to go against everything "The Experts" say about exhaust flow! Time to start over with a clean sheet of paper. I love stuff like this. Thanks for posting. They really bashed those headers!
Try speedengineering.com for the short headers. They don't list anything for Olds, but it might be worth it to call and ask. I just put a set on my 06' 6.0 Pickup. Very nice product, with excellent craftsmanship. They are stainless and cost $174 shipped. Everything else I looked at where much more expensive.

Thanks for the lead, they are way too pretty to bash to fit!
Before anyone breaks out the sledge hammers there may be an explanation for the outcome. I sent the video to a very smart engine person and here's how he explained what happened. I hope this clears up some things.
"Not hard to believe at all.
Start with a header that's too big for the rpm range. Put in a cam with more exhaust duration then you need, and it will be so inefficient, that you won't see any change in power"
