I'm restoring the dash in my '75 Starfire. The interior color code is 26V, which is a blue color. I've found a '75 Corvette color code 26V, along w/ a source for the "Corvette" 26V vinyl dye. Can I be confident that a GM 1975 26V paint code is the same color between makes (Chevy vs Olds)?

Most paint shop will mix a small sample, to see if it matches. I know some of the outside colors, have same code, but called a different name.

 

Yeah, my problem is that the interior was already refinished to a different color by the PO, and the car saw a lot of sun judging by the plastic pieces - I don't have any good "original" samples to use.. Originality isn't everything to me but I'd like to get it to look as close to "correct" as possible.
