General AS-07 tires

Have any of you used this tire on your late model car? It has not been out very long so no real reviews on the interwebs.

You have peaked my interest, the few reviews I found were positive. They come in the size I need but I just don't know if they will be as good as the Continental Extreme Contact DWS06 tires. They lead pack but are $300 each on sale up here in the 235/55R19 I need for my Challenger GT.

I picked up a set today. I’ll report in a few days what I think. So far I like them.

Good to know they've treated you right.

I have General Grabber HTS on my 71 98 and they've run fine for years. They're actually due for replacement soon, the only bad thing I can say is that General didn't have any white walls.

General tires

For those of you that don't know, General tires are made by Continental.

Good to know, they should be comparable to the extreme contact line. I saw Firestone released a similar tire to compete with them as well last year. The last tires I bought were the GT Radial due to nothing being available during the Pandemic. They went from squealing around corners when pushed hard when new to feeling like tap shoes on ice with two years of wear. Tires are huge investment these days and will get a rotation every oil change. Hoping to get 5 years out of a set of the really good tires. Since I tow my boat, the 105W XL vs the current 102 should help stability even more. I also need a set of studded Winter tires and sensors added. Tread could go another year but very aged out, already pushing it. The GT are best price but really don't want another set.

I bought 2 new tires for my truck last week. The fronts were at 9/32 and the rears were at 3/32. I have an appointment for install and alignment this week.

As a veteran, I ordered the tires tax free from the Veteran's Canteen Service.

The tires have performed as advertised with no complaints, I highly recommend them.
