Gauge light bulb replacement

I've got the 70 Cutlass Supreme convertible. Some of the dash board gauge lights are dim....possibly a couple burned out. To replace, do I have to remove the whole front dash or is there an easier way? Anyone done this and how hard is it......what has to be done to replace?
Thanks all!
Billy

Remove 2 phillips screws in top of woodgrain piece & 2 below it where blue lens(es) are. Then you will find 3 1/4" screws holding each gauge in place. The right & left ones will unbolt & pull out with almost no problem. The speedo has a cable attached to the center of it & you must press the tab on the bottom of the cable before pulling the speedo out. Be careful of the harmonica type connector on the back of the speedo & fuel gauge. The pins they attach to can come loose if you pry them roughly or are not gentle with them. Turn the sockets & they come right out & you can see the bulbs in the sockets. If they are real dark looking they are very likely bad. You can test with an ohm meter or 12 volts & a ground. Easy peasy...

Scott, that's one of the best write ups I've seen on this topic! Good job.
