fuzzy morning drive in the vert

1st time driving the Cutlass to work. I am having the trans serviced in hopes it will live till I do the 455 T350 swap.
Before I even hit the freeway a chunk of under dash insulation drops down and explodes in the air current with little bits sticking to my unshaven face and all the carpet in the car. Was funny for about 10 seconds.

Did get to see a few rods heading to the Goodguys going the other way.
Always a nice site.

Well that explains the 'fuzzy' part!
That stuff is sure nasty - I would like to know what it is made of...
Hope that was the only bad. I look forward to driving mine in a few more months!

Still blinking my eyes as the sunglasses were no match for the dust/fuzz.
The rest of the drive was nice. A little cold, had to run the heater.

See if you can suck the rest of it out with a shop vac. and maybe scrape off what is left, letting the vac suck up the fiberous crap. Replace with some self-stick insulative material and call it good...

I have a lot of my underdash apart right now, and my 'fuzz blanket' is in pretty good shape, I would like to keep it up there, but would like to cover it with something to keep it up there. I was thinking one of those thicker sticky saranwraps? any other ideas? contact paper?

Yep I had a fleece jacket on with the hood up and still turned the heat on.
Its been unusually cold here (sorry) not that it get real hot. Not for more than a few weeks a year if we have a hot summer.
Very nice sunny and warm on the way home. 70 something is my guess.
Puyallup is next door to Tacoma which is south of Seattle.

Wish it were cooler for the rest of the states.
