Angry fuel gage not working

Hi, stetzie here.
Sorry to bring this up again, but I'm stumped trying to get it working.
I need someone to post a wiring diagram for my '71 Delta Royale convertible fuel gauge.
Dropped the tank and found the ground wire broken off.
Tried to a rig temporary ground and test, but didn't get any good results.
Need to know if there is a chance I can get the sending unit rebuilt, which is the original "can type".
Also if a replacement sender is available, and where to purchase.
The dash gauge reads full when key is on. How do I check the gauge to see if it's good or not?

Ground the sending unit wire and the gauge should go to EMPTY. With the wire not grounded (open circuit) the gauge should go past FULL.
