Front seats for a 67
Front seats for a 67
So while my engine is getting rebuilt (or waiting to be due to this damn lock down), im thinking about other projects. Right now im torn between swapping out the worn bucket seats (not original ones) for either a bench seat or buckets with dual post head rest. Anyone know what cars I can pull seats from to directly bolt in? What do y'all prefer?
Well, firstly, you need to consider your drive type. You can do buckets with anything, but bench requires column shifter automatic or manual, or console-less floor manual.
GM A body 66 and 67 will work for you. A Cutlass Supreme gets an "center armrest bench" and a Cutlass gets a bench without center armrest.
Benches are better for extra sprawl, and tender ministrations from your loved ones. Buckets are supposedly more comfortable, and more sporty. You can go column shift with buckets and no console, but it looks a little odd.
Headrests were available, but not standard, in 67. Expect to pay money for them.
