Front cowl question

Did any type of insulation get put inside the front cowl on the driver and passenger sides, down on the side of the cowl, from the factory? I have a 70 supreme

The factory put a light-duty fiber insulation on the cowl area. After 50 years most have turned to dust, literally.

At the rear of that cavity should be a one inch round hole for drainage.

In the actual left and right cowl areas, I don't recall my car having anything other than insulation material on the kick panels. Obviously, the inside of the firewall does have a large piece with cutouts.

I’m thinking the water is coming in because I never resealed the kick panel, after I took the interior out. I’m gonna check the drains out tomorrow, thanks guys
