Found a 403 today

I don't have the money to build it, but I have 1 now.
I like extras, what can I say?
Damn softy.
Comes with a stand, too!

You should take the oil pan off and see if it is an elusive NON-WINDOWED MAINS 403!

Yeah, looking at that bottom end makes me nervous. I know everyone says they're fine, but It looks like I could bust out all those tabs with 1 hammer whack.
Not something I'd want to drop 4 or 5 grand of my life into, but hey, free is free right?

It was stuffed in a 90's Jeep Cherokee...

I just got one of these things for free also!
Mine had 4 rod bearings spun, and I do not know why that it did NOT spin a main bearing.
Found a fresh 10/10 crank on e-bay for $86.00 (with shipping), got some main & cam bearings, the block vatted, and the crank is already laid. I think I have $250 in it, Total.
No matter what I do with it, it will have an automatic 50-60 hp over any 350 that would have been there, with the same combination of parts.
I'll bet $50 that you do not have solid webs.
Great street engine, even in a Jeep!!!

Yeah especially since I think they have 3.73 gears in those. I figured someone on here could use it, so I yanked it, floor jacked it up, and rolled it into the trunk of my delta lol. They are closing a few Semi-local yards and all of the Oldsmobiles got crushed a few days ago. They had like 6 deltas and about 10 80's cutlasses and grand prixs, All gone now though. I guess it was an odd twist of fate that I needed some quarter moulding for my 93 cherokee that day. I hauled a 400lb load of scrap metal in that I needed gone from my property, and traded it straight up.

If anyone wants it, I'm asking $150 and will throw in a free stand. Factor in that I drove 80 miles round trip getting 10 miles per gallon, and 2 hours of labor yanking it and cleaning it up for inspection.

That is a good deal. If I wasn't in OK I would take you up on it. A 403 and engine stand for $150!
