Fastenal Shipping

I decided to sell the extra factory disc brake set up I have. I listed it and got a response. I went to Fastenal to get a quote. It weighs about 100 lbs and I figured I could package it in a 14x22x8 wood crate. The quote came back at $125.00 if I drop it off at Alma Mi and the buyer picks up at Plattsburg, NY. Wow!! Does this seem right? Thanks for your input, Greg.

I shipped a bench seat and a rear end housing from the west coast to Michigan using Fastenal. Cost me 100 bucks each time.

Fastenal has been all over the board in the last couple of years. I think the days of them being the go-to place for a regular guy to ship are gone.

If time isn't critical, Fastenal is a great way to go.

Try Greyhound but you might need to put it in 2 packages.

Wonder what a fender would cost? Probably at least 100. It needs to be packed to avoid the monkey business dents. Seems every 68 fender I see is as far away as possible. I have been looking for a while for a decent low cost unit for wall art.

IF your item is crated and then on a pallet
fork lift ready fastenal is "usually" friendly with the price quote
I will be using them one day soon to transport a rear axle

Good Luck
