I'm debating it. Old arthritic bones don't make such a trip too well any more. If I could be there in 2 to 3 hours it'd be no big deal, but 6 hours in the car up and back plus all the walking will be rough.

Vert, Tri-City Plating out of Elizabethton TN is usually there but I can't remember exactly where they set up for Fall- I think at the top of the infield on IO row. You're only about 120 miles or so from them if you don't want to haul that bumper all the way to PA. www.tricityplating.com I've always had good results from them.

I'll be at spots NA65, 108, and 109, Thursday through Saturday at least. Stop by and say hi (though I may be out spending money instead of selling junk ).

There's room in the camper if you can swing a two-day trip.

I have to admit that my friends and I discovered a few years ago that it was getting tough to do Spring and Fall in a single day each. We did the math and it's cheaper to just get a couple of swap spaces to park the camper, truck, and enough parts for sale that Carlisle Events doesn't throw us out. It's also a lot easier to haul the parts back to a spot inside than to drag them outside to the truck every few hours.

Joe, we usually make a 3 day run out of it due to the distance. The last couple times we went it took me several days to get over it. I'm just not sure it's worth it anymore for no more than I find. I didn't even go to Fall Charlotte for the same reasons.

The NOS stuff just isn't there now and there is little if any reproduction available for my cars.

Tri City is great - I've dropped off bumpers in fall, and picked up in spring - for 3 of my '55's now. They do nice stuff.

Dad will be there this year, but I don't think I'll make it (Dad is Everett Horton for those who don't know). I love that place.

Chris from Advance Plating from Erie PA will be set up there and he will take your bumper and rechrome it for you. They do excellent work -- If youre in new england there are a few good shops in that area too.

Chris does a lot of shows and can bring it back to a show in your area for you to pickup too -- probalbly if you give it to him at Fall you can pick it up at Spring?

OK --- Will be set up in K-54-55 on mainfield. Lots of Olds parts. Cleaning out the shop and dont want to take any of it back home with me!! Everything will be priced "to sell" - no reasonable offers refused. Will be there from Wed mid-morn till Sat afternoon. Stop by and say "Hey" --- even if youre not wanting to shop!!
If there is any 67-72 Olds A-body stuff or motors or motor parts that you may be in need of -- please call me by monday so I can be sure to bring it along for you!
Thanks
Tweed
PM me if there is something I that I may have that i can bring for you!

See ya there!!!!

Tweed,

Looking forward to seeing you. Our spaces are just inside Gate 3, not too far from the cinderblock bathrooms.

Yeah, last year we just had the two back-to-back spots and it was tight with our trucks and camper. We were able to score the one next to those two.

For Tweed and all CO members coming to Carlisle, my cell is 703-927-9196. I'd love to have a CO tag-up at some point, maybe Friday afternoon. I'll buy the adult beverages.

Last year we had a mini-CO meet-up at the Fusick trailer. Must have been 7 or 8 of us!
Joe Blu, Paul T, and Kid442 (Ken) and his gang, and a couple of others too!

I'm hoping to be there some time Wednesday afternoon. I have a friend and his father that are selling a car for me and it will be arriving then. I will try my best to find Joe and Tweed now that I have their spots and cell phone numbers. Anybody else that has spots chime in so we can meet..

Well I was only there Thursday so I can tell you from my perspective it was wet, but not enough to crash the party. I did drop my bumper off at TriCity Plating for replating. (THANKS FOR THE HEADS UP THAT THEY WERE THERE GUYS) seemed like there weren't as many vendors as there had been in the past, but it was nice to put a few faces to the names.

Yes a little wet but got the day in to my satisfaction on Thursday. Vendors a little sparse as noted and I picked up a few small things. Tried to get exact matching windlace for the 67 442. Tried the chebby guys, Pontiac guys and then the resto reproduction guys to find they all sell the same stuff which is somewhat slimmer than what was used originally. I bought some and it will be ok. I met up with Tweed and he got the parts I hauled there for him so the day was a success.

Yup, Thurs AM was a little wet (not drenching) but Fri and Sat were really nice. More empty swap spots than I've seen in the past. Sales were dismal, but that may be due to the fact that I spent most of the time away from my spaces buying crap instead of selling it...

Saw old friends and put faces with more CO members. Score of the weekend was a Sharpe membrane air filter/dryer system for my shop. I paid $25. The seller claimed he had paid $800 brand new. Yeah, sure. I looked it up on line when I got home and wadda ya know... prices range from $600 to over $1000!!!

I will say that by 3:00 Sat afternoon, there were tumbleweeds rolling by. Seems the only vendors still there on Sunday are simply parking there until the gates open at Hershey.

Speaking of Hershey, I'll be there Friday, then I fly to L.A. on Saturday and I'll be at Pomona on Sunday (thanks to business meetings that week). Any CO members going to Pomona?

Joe P., I was there Wed. And Tweed and I rode to your spots but you had not arrived yet. We will meet sooner or later. As for Hershey, weather permitting I plan to go Saturday and meet some friends that ate coming in from CA. From what I saw and heard, the week and weekend was not good from the sellers. I did see an awesome '63 Chevy 409 reacecar with 7k miles. What a car!!!
