Ok now that I am back to a computer rather than a phone, my thots and final observations.

For my first vendor-ing at fall, it was interesting but somewhat of a letdown. As I said I got lucky on wednesday when that guy brought all that new Moog stuff from me - if covered everything so it ended up not being a loss. I think each other days sales were typical of a washout show.

I was happy to see the 200lbs or so of AC recovery tanks, machines, filters etc go. Lot of weight, lot of space for something I do not need.

because of the weather I only saw other dealers for the most part and a few diehards. the 'stroller' crowd that cleans one out of the mishmash never showed up.

would I do this show again? sure. But, having just done truck, and doing truck each year its real close together and I had zero time to 'restock'. Since I exited the resto biz, all of my parts and stuff are gone, what I sell are what we get at cleanouts, so commit to the next fall show and pay of course, means that I must get enuf stuff to do 2 shows back to back. I figure I can easily get what I need for truck 2017 over the winter. I might strike it rich but the wife had a good idea....

2017 fall would be full price for us. but 2017 spring would not be and we would get the 2-fer. so if the fall/winter is kind to us, we might do THAT show instead. If not, well we wanna try butler, which is half the distance and has a huge desperate market (pitt)

we did notice the number of RVs was killer - almost like a shantytown style rv park. from walking the show for over 30 years, was it always like this? I know that in the past the local hotels doubled rates for the show and I can see how the rv is a defensive measure - its what I did for truck 8 years ago when the 'sleep inn' got too salty at 170 a night and at first western village was cheaper, but when I learned that the rv is legal....

I was pleased at the improved hot water and pressure from the north field bathhouse and at 1030 or so each night - no crowds. The fall show is MUCH quiet than the dirtbike/atv racers each evening at truck and far less SBDA (shopping by driving around) occurs here.

As for the fire pit, when we lit up ours friday, it got more attention than the triple black 67 GTO in the corral for $65000, many dozens if not hundreds of pics of it made pinterest and facebook, but no one forked over any $$ until my next door neighbor, and antique dealer from my neck of the woods got it for his wife.

Joe, did your tent survive? when I stopped by on thursday the wind was not being kind......
