Fair price for '50 olds wagon?

I recently found a '59 oldsmobile dynamic 88 station Wagon for sale, Was wondering what a fair average price would be for such.
It is in decent shape as far as body - doesn't appear to have much rust or damage, a few minor dings in trim but bumpers seem just fine, front windshield crack all other glass okay, paint okay for most part - can see small areas that have been touched up, interior in good shape for age { a few stitches coming apart at seams, but doesn't look torn} and seems to be original. Does not have original wheels or hub caps (mag wheels of some type - cragars perhaps?).
anyway was thinking about obtaining it - possibly trading/selling one of my Olds or better yet trade/sell my truck and a '61 dodge car to get money for purchase. Anyway, need a fair guesstimation of value, as I believe the guy is asking a little too much.
I think the Wagon would be a cool ride and serve a few other purposes - particularly if a get rid of the truck.My wife also says she likes the look of it and wouldn't might having it { } - of course she suggested getting rid of my 2 Olds, 61 dodge, and truck { women - they can sometimes take the fun out of things}

This would be an unusual car to see fixed up. Don't see many early wagons. Body parts might be a challenge to find. Does it run, trans ok check all areas for rust, fender wells, spare tire area, etc. Could be a lot of fun it would turn heads they are big cars. good luck. Price is kind of hard to nail down not knowing the condition of the engine tranny, etc. Can you get pictures? That might help

well, I assume it runs okay as the person seems to have been driving it around, on a regular basis. haven't talked to owner, yet, for specifics on it.
figure I'd do a little research on it before hand, that way I won't get scnooked.

That is a car that is going to be hard to even get a guesstimate on since there are so few of them. I am sure there are less wagons than convertibles. The 50 Olds is a great looking car. It would draw a lot of attention.

Yeah, it is kinda of cool looking machine. seems to have all parts, except perhaps maybe an emblem on one rear fender
The guy is asking $13,000 which seems kinda high, but since I don't know much about wagons and availability of them, etc... { I haven't really ever seen a '59 Olds wagon... or too many other old/classic wagons, well maybe a few 'Nomads' but that's a different animal}. anyway I don't have a baseline price wise to compare, to know if asking price Too high, a good price or what.

Sounds high but if you could get some pics in, might make it easier to estimate....that price does sound high!

I would guess that the price he is asking is at least twice what it is worth.

I agree with Pat. Unless it is an AZ car and has no rust then it should only be worth around $7000 for a good survivor.

Think about it. They are printing money as fast as the printing press will work. Soon it will be worth millions. It will be harder and harder to get a good Olds, and you can always get money, you can usually find work , look for something no one else wants to do. Most folks look for a position. Andy

Guys, I appreciate the help and advice.
I'm gonna have to look into getting this Station Wagon. It's way to cool looking {don't have pics available ,yet}, and would be a fairly easy resto - especially compared to some of the other cars I have. and the Wife Likes it, a bonus.

Make sure the drivetrain is in good condition. The early Oldsmobile motors and transmissions have very few readily available performance parts.
