f85 deluxe

my car is a 67 f85 deluxe post/442 clone. i was just wondering what kind of production numbers there were for the post deluxe f85 in 67. maybe i should have left it alone instead of the clone? thanks in advance

Production of the 1967 F-85 V-8 2-door, which was available only as a post car, not a hardtop, was 6,700. Production of the 4-door sedan version was 5,126.

For a little perspective on these numbers, production of the Cutlass V-8 2-door hardtop was 29,799 while that of the Cutlass Supreme 2-door hardtop was 57,858. There was a 2-door post version of the Cutlass Supreme called a Sports Coupe, and production of that was 18,256. There was no 2-door post version of the standard Cutlass (non-Supreme).

So, yes, your car is relatively rare, but that doesn't mean it was intrinsically valuable and that making a 442 clone out of it was a mistake value-wise. Rarity alone doesn't determine an old car's value. It's also condition and, most importantly, desirability. Cutlasses are more desirable than plain F-85s. Convertibles and coupes are more desirable than sedans and station wagons, generally speaking, although Vista Cruisers are popular and station wagons in general seem to be gaining in popularity slowly.
