Is anyone here able to give me a neighborhood price on some F head cores? I might be able to get some but I don't want to pay to much.These are complete, but would probably need some freshening up as they have been sitting for sometime. I know I want to do a BB someday, so if I come across stuff now I pick it up.

 

i have seen F heads sell for over $4000 for cores. i have heard of them selling for $6000 but figure that they must have ben rebuilt and ready to install. if you build a BB will it be going in a 70 442 W30? if not you will want to use another head because these are worth more to someone doing a numbers matching car. you can get a set of C heads way cheeper.

now and then you will come across a set of F heads for less than $4000 but is hard to say in this economy.

 

Thanks for the feedback. I have no plans to put those on. I was just wondering how they priced compared to C heads. I knew they were rare, but WOW!...I'm looking at a 68 455 to purchase this week....
