I found this poster depicting the evolution of the 4-4-2 online at a site called Hot GM Cars. The image is very poor quality, and there was no reference to where you could find an original image or purchase a high quality poster/print. Have any of you guys seen this before and have any idea of where I might find a high quality, larger (30" x 20"ish), print of this? I sure would love to have one. Thanks for any info you might have.

Guys,
The lead thru Factoryhotrod fell through because a family member wanted his poster. If anyone has one they would part with, or knows where I can get one, please let me know. Thank you for all responses!
There's definitely a market for this. I'd like one as well. Any idea how big the poster is?
I'm sorry, I do not. I could not get any idea as to scale from the one picture I found online. Maybe Factoryhotrod will respond since he actually has one.
I just searched on Facebook for it, supposedly some guy named Ron Memmer on one of the oldsmobile FB groups was selling them.
Hoffman2099 - Thank you for your response and the lead. I'm not on Facebook, but my wife is, maybe she can find him for me. Again thanks, I sincerely appreciate your response!
Ahhh, Farrah. Still like that kind of hair on a woman. The Farrah look.
If anyone can provide a link that'd be great. I too am not a F***Book member or a fan.
Guys - For what it's worth, I have contacted the R.E. Olds Museum and they no longer have any of the posters. So, I'm still searching. Thanks in advance for any additional leads!
I believe I weaseled out one for free because my car represents the 1985 year on the poster. Still in the tube. I don't remember even opening it. Probably in the back of one of the cabinets in my office. Hadn't seen that tube in years. If someone hasn't stole it.
I don't recall Ron Memmer being involved in that scenario initially. I believe it was initially available through the OCA plus a couple other places. He probably just bought a bunch and tucked them away. I probably should have also, but well, I didn't.
Here's the picture I sent in when they were asking for them, prior to photoshopping for the poster.
oldolds88 - Thank you very much! Now, if I could just find one someone's willing to part with, I would really love to have one framed and up in my garage.
I see no reason why some with graphic talent couldn't do it.
Ill bet it would be worth their time.
I'd buy at least two.
I will offer up my 68 for that year.

BigJer where are you?
I think you're correct, and I believe many of us would love to offer up a pic of their car to be used on the poster. If someone is willing to try and produce it, it would be nice if they would produce it like the original with an example of a hardtop and vert for each year.
I own Microsoft Office Professional, therefore I own Microsoft PowerPoint Professional.
Each of you who want a picture of your car in the poster, post an image to this thread & I'll see what I can work up. I can't "white-out" backgrounds (like in the poster) - this would require a program such as Photoshop Professional ($$$$). Whatever is in your background will also be in the background of the image you post. You'll lose a little clarity/definition/detail from me saving each of the images from this thread, but if the poster itself looks like something you want to move forward with, you can then provide the "original" image file which will contain far greater detail/definition.
Be certain to include the information pertaining to the image/photo e.g. year, specifics to the model e.g. W-30, etc. I'll grab some 4-4-2 logos (for now) or each of you can post an image of the 4-4-2 logo script on your car. I can sharpen/enlarge/crop/contrast/brighten/darken/transparency, etc.

Norm -.Thanks for giving this a shot, much appreciated! We may have to advertise via a separate thread, with an example of the old poster, asking for examples to fill all the years. What do you think?
Here's mine for consideration, 1967 Cutlass Supreme/4-4-2 Holiday Coupe.
Thanks again!
Chris

You can organize that. I'll create the poster.
Here's a very basic mock-up. By the time you add blending, background, more logos, another 25 cars w/ captions it will appear more like a poster - many manners in which I can create images/posters. I'm done for this evening - just let me know where to get the images.

Norm - I will advertise in a different thread for folks to post a pic of their car to this thread, with a link provided. It would be nice if we can have both an example of a hardtop and a vert for '64 - '72, and a hardtop or t-top only for the other model/option years. If we could arrange the pics in chronologic order, that would be great. I will put in the advertisement that placement of anyone's pic on the poster will be on a 1st come / 1st serve basis.
Walmart can print posters. I had one done recently. You attach the file you want printed, mine was a custom art of my son in one of his favorite cartoons. It was 24x36 and cost around $25 shipped.
Lots of businesses to choose from to print posters. In bulk (~100) on glossy thick paper they should run about $10-$15 each. It’s up to y’all to choose who/where type paper etc once a poster file is created/finished.
Norm - Looks nice! We're not getting much interest yet are we? This idea may die on the vine! Sure appreciate your support though!
No worries on my side - I have plenty occupying my time. I suppose you could grab 4-4-2 vehicles of each year/style off the Internet to create a poster; but again, I'm not interested in searching down vehicles. I have an interest in assisting by creating the poster image for y'all, but it pretty much ends there. If the thread gets to the point of amassing enough vehicles of the appropriate year/body style (convertible, etc.) we can always revisit.

Norm - Agree 100%! There's no way I'm going to search the internet for examples of the various years/models, not that important to me. You sir, have already went above and beyond offering your expertise to create the poster/print file if we can get enough participants. I have to say at this point I'm a little surprised there hasn't been more interest.
You'd most likely garner more interest if you had 20-25 CO members with the correct year/body style 4-4-2 offering up images. In several months, who knows....
Found an extra one that I put away years ago One small tear in the bottom.
If the the person who contacted me about it is still interested in it, please let me know. 50.00 plus the ride.
Thanks
Factoryhotrod - That was me (Chris Nixon) who contacted you about the poster. I PM'ed you, but I was so excited you had an extra, and in such a rush to get back to you, that I didn't see you had put a price on it. I'll take it for the $50, plus the shipping. Please rsvp to my PM with a total cost and how you would like to handle payment. I do not have a PayPal or Venmo account, but my wife has both, it would come from Dawn Nixon. Thanks, just let me know!
Is this copyrighted? If not, what’s to stop a guy from going to kinkos and having copies made?
68cutlasssss - I honestly don't know who the originator is, or if it's copyrighted. All I know is the R.E. Olds Museum in Lansing was selling them at one time, but they no longer have them. Maybe someone else will chime in with more history and info on the copyright question.
If the deal falls through I'm next.
Yes please see if you can make copies before you sell it...or Chris you may have a new business venture? I want one or two!

Regarding copyright. Unless you are in a business to generate substantial profit/revenue from the copyright material(s) of an entity other than yourself, a limited venture of copies among friends is not copyright infringement in the eyes of lawful copyright material I don't believe.
