Escape Machine License Plate?
Escape Machine License Plate?
Looking for the person that was remaking the license plate found in this pictures

I remember someone selling them on a site awhile back off of an original template but can't find their information.
Thanks!

I'm not going to dig mine out of storage right now. My guess is that it's plastic, vacuum metalized with the "chrome" all over the front surface, with the colors then silk-screened on top of the chrome. But I could be wrong. It's definitely not stamped steel like a regular state plate.
VERY COOL!! -- most "****-A-Delic!"
Did they make these for any other years?? ('71 or '72??) As others have asked...How much? Any left still or available again soon??
THANKS Hairy!

Yes this plate is available and it is made of plastic not like the original that was made of cardboard and didn't last too long in the weather.
The price on it is $25.00 plus $6.00 shipping.
I have never seen a plate like this used on any years after 1970. but if you can find a factory pic of one on a car I'm sure it can be made.
Please email Henry at hkrocket88s@tds.net for orders and more info thanks.

ESCAPE MACHINE TAG:
This tag was displayed on Olds’ 1970 show cars. Olds Escape Machine was one of Olds’ marketing themes for ’70. Everything for the 1970 model year was considered an escape machine. The secretary escape machine was the Cutlass S, the family escape machine was the Vista Cruiser, you get the idea. It came from the slogan "Oldsmobile: Escape from the ordinary", that was at the bottom of every Olds ad for 1970. You gotta love that groovy period art though.
