Engle Cams

Does anyone know if Engle cams no longer sell cams, or have a site. I only see Mondello selling Engle cams, looking for other options. Any ideas?

Try calling them.

A few years ago I talked to them and they made a cam for me that wasn't listed on their website.

I think like Bullet and a few others, Engle isn't really doing retail or direct to customer sales. You'd have to call and talk to them. I bet they still have all their old lobes and will grind whatever you want, but they're mainly a supplier, not a retailer.

If you have a builder that is familiar with the Engle lobes and has something they want to spec out - then let them source it. Otherwise, you might be better served by one of the other cam suppliers. I wouldn't go with Engle solely because Mondello liked them back in the 80's.

The Mondello endorsement still meant something in the '80s.

But yeah, according to the text on their website, Engle's wheelhouse now appears to be air-cooled Volkswagen motors. Other makes are mentioned seemingly as an afterthought. Who knew the VW aftermarket would be enough to keep a cam manufacturer alive all these years later?

Engle Oldsmobile Cams!

Mondello Performance Products Inc does NOT sell Engle camshafts any longer, and hasn't for a very long time... Like everything else Lynn has screwed everything up and moving in a pretty much all Chinese business model!!!

So the camshafts listed on MPPI website are white box no name generic camshafts... Buyer beware!

That is why I asked if any one else sell Engle, beside Mondello. I figured out about 15 years ago what they said were Engle cams probably were not, as the one I got, did come in a plain white box, and no marking, and no cam card, had to call and try to get one. Had bought from them years before, and cam came in a yellow box, with card. That's why I was asking. I really like the 22-25-10 cam, put in my 70 W30 so I could add power brakes. I see other companys sell a cam close to it, not sure the will run power brakes? Will have to try and call them. Thanks guys.

Just poking around out of curiosity: it looks like it was bought by So. Cal Imports, VW perf, in 2009. Their website still lists "Oldsmobile" and says "get yours directly from the source" on the homepage. If you're dead set on getting one, I'd start direct. See if they have the old grind specs, still.

Just called them, guy is an a$$hole. 1. He asked me what do you mean Gen 1 Oldsmobile?, 2. They don't have blanks 3. Haven't made those for a number of years, 3. Then he interrupted me and said, "anyway I need to go I am busy". WOW.
