DVOC Fall Show Oct 9 2011
Fall Show - Sunday, October 9th, 2011 Kerr Park – Downingtown PA
Its time to start thinking about this annual event. It is a great location, easy drive and Oldsmobile only show. Weather is usually great and crisp. More info can be had at the Delaware Valley Oldsmobile Club website.

Hmmm, Maybe
Hey Oldsmaniac: This just might be a good show for my wife and I to attend. My almost rebuilt 425 ci Super Rocket should be running fine by then. It would be a nice long shakedown cruise.
Can you tell us more about this show and maybe include a website or contact info?
Downington, PA. sure seems to be pretty far from "The Motor City". I suppose you can't persuade the organizers to switch locations to New Castle, PA. instead?

Hi Tom: If the weather looks to be nice, Lauriebird and I will travel to Downingtowon, PA. According to Google, the drive looks to be about 10 hours, 581 miles from Colchester, ON. (30 miles from Detroit)
My car is a 1967 Delta 88 Custom Holiday Coupe.
Hope to see you there!

The show went fine, I did not take any pictures but there were 60 or so Oldsmobiles there. Among those a 49 conv, 59 98 scenic coupe, some 67 442's and later. Best of show went to a 69 H/O and there was a very nice Rallye 4spd there. The g bodies were well represented and I was amazed to see a early 80's Toro with a 425 transplant....very cool!! My hats off to Jaybird who came down from Canada { wow I thought I was insane }....anyway it was a pleasure to meet him and family. His 67 Delta Custom was beautiful with buckets and console, unfortunately his lifters/rockers started to make noise on the way here and I hope he makes it back of without trouble and get things checked out. Keep us posted Jaybird!

Home Again
The family and I got home just after 9:00pm. The ride back was uneventful. We took the northern route to Niagara Falls and cruised around there before heading southwest to southern Ontario.
The worst part of the trip was the last 2 hours. We ran into bugageddon. My windshield was so caked with bugs, we had to stop at the nearest service center and wash them off!
We had a good time and I appreciate your help attempting to diagnose the problem with the engine. The noise didn't get any worse than it was when I originally noticed it. I'll be sure to let you know what the problem turns out to be.
Meanwhile, that $30.00 Wawa gas card for the longest distance driver came in handy! We used it up in Pottsville, PA.
Thanks to Tom, Jeff, Gary and Mike.
I was good to meet you guys. Maybe we'll see each other again at another all Olds show?
I'll post a few pictures soon.
