Can anybody tell me more about this dual thermal valve? Has Dole pat pend 3.400.698 markings with H7 just above threads. Could it be for 70 olds 350? Any value to it?
That is part of the 1971-72 Transmission Controlled Spark system, an early emissions control system that locked out vacuum advance in the lower gears to reduce NOx emissions. From the 1971 Chassis Service Manual, page 6K-7:
