I am converting my 72 Cutlass 2dr Hardtop from a bench to bucket seats with a center console & dual gate shifter. Does anyone know or have a template for the cut out? The cable is 30" long and I'm also convert the TH350 to a TH400 3 speed automatic.

The cable should be 30 5/8" overall and 30 1/4 center to center.

There is few threads with pictures regarding the installation, it might be helpful.

I have done the conversion recently and the easiest way is to install the bracket and the cable on the transmission and then locate where the shifter goes.
If you have aftermarket range selector lever you probably need to modify it to get it to shift correctly through all the gears.
