Dual Gate Shifter Ball

Parts Place is now selling a dual gate ball with the pattern on it which they say is how they came originally. I've had and seen many DG's over the years but never seen a ball with the shift pattern on it. Fact or fiction?

(1967 - 1979 Cutlass/442) HURST AUTO DUALGATE SHIFT BALL WITH RARE PATTERN! WE NOW HAVE THE SIXTIES AND SEVENTIES HURST ORIGINAL DUALGATE SHIFTER BALL WITH DUALGATE PATTERN - THESE CAME WITH DUALGATE SHIFTERS AND IT SHOWS YOU HOW TO USE THE DUALGATE OPTION

I have never seen a dual gate ball with a pattern. I bought my 1970 442 in 1978 and it did not have a pattern on it. The threads in the ball were stripped so I purchased an NOS ball from my Oldsmobile dealer in 1978. That ball is still on the car and never had the pattern on it.

They're just trying to make a buck on unsuspecting rubes.I had 2 GTO's back in the day, both 67's with the factory Dual Gate.No pattern.I have one right now in my 64 Cutlass, although I put a t handle on it,I have the original ball.No pattern.Never seen a pattern on a Dual gate.

Having a shift pattern on an automatic transmission shifter ball is kinda useless. The pattern is shown on the shifter top plate.
