Drive-in theater (recreation,tribute,clone :)

Thought my CO friends might appreciate my attempt to re-create the feeling of the drive-in theater for my youngest daughter's 12th birthday this past weekend. Because without a major drive, they just don't exist around here anymore. And don't worry, there is an Olds there - my 1970 442 (recreation, tribute, clone!)

Been thinking about this for a while and finally did it. Actually, with three fairly attractive daughters, I may be kind of glad drive-in's aren't around anymore! Just kidding, hormones don't care about their surroundings. Have a great weekend, and a great father's day for you dad's here on CO.

Just keep doing that drive in...looks like you've got a great high point for keeping those hormones in check :-D

We are fortunate enough to have one here in Mayberry.

Great idea you have there... Something I should think about since my property is a 1/4 mile long... Of course from time to time I have had thoughts about a small drag strip / burn out area, although neighbors may not like this idea as much as a theater...

Our local drive-in is still running even after the former owners sold it about three years ago. The Murrels had it for about fifty-five years. There is even a few thousand new houses going up around it. First you're in the country and now you are not!

I suppose our gray drizzly weather in the northwest didn't help the few that were left stay open. Doesn't make much sense, like owning a convertible - which is why I have two . It's cool that some of y'all still have them around.

And CRUZN66 - Thx I did like having the bird's eye view on the kids. They are all just 6th grades, but both my 14 and 16 year old daughters want to sched a drive in night this summer as well... guaranteed I'll be out there polishing a shotgun on the deck those nights!! Or just ride shotgun
