dream car

so, after you've spent money on a car you kinda settled for, only to realize that you just really don't like it, and 3 weeks later, low and behold, a 65 442 convertible, factory 4 speed, factory ac car, becomes available. it's in pieces, but original, and complete. hopefully after talking with him tonight, i get to go see the car friday, fingers crossed.

Sounds like a cool project. Hopefully you can convince him to sell it to you for the right price. Post pics when you bring it home.

Good luck! Hopefully it will work out for you! Sometimes the best deals come along when you are not looking for them.

Hope it works out for you. I’m in a similar situation myself!

i will start a thread about my project build once i get it all laid out and pics taken. it is supposed to be all complete, number matching. the price i feel was GREAT! lol it was 4k less than what i was willing to pay for the real deal holyfield. lol i found most of the important stuff, engine definitely a 65 400, 4 speed, console with tach, haven't located the shifter yet but he says it's there. the protecto plate was there but it's roasted. i am going to see about the new laser rust removal and see if it will clean up some. i am going to pull it all out this weekend and document everything i have. this car came out of mansfield ohio. it has been sitting disassembled for 30 years in a garage. frame was blasted and painted, engine was rebuilt but never had oil in it or attempted to be started. needs minor floor patch on drivers side and the typical lower quarter issues these cars have.
