I sold in 1984 to a guy named Duane s. in Michigan was a Fremont car vin 344878z119359. I am just curious as to what ever happened to it.

Have you tried contacting Duane or tried to look him up? He may not still be living in the same city, or be living at all, but maybe a descendant of his is.

Given that this was 33 years ago, the chances of your finding this car are nil, but good luck.

 

Try contacting your insurance agent and have them attempt to track the car. There are forms that the different states have for you to fill out when you're looking for past auto records. I found that it is much easier for an insurance company to to get information that a private party. I did that about 8 years ago here in Indiana and my agent was very helpful. He was not always successful but I believe he did a lot better than I would have done on my own. It's worth a try !
