No. If you were going to secure a "professional" to document the vehicle, you would be performing a 100% complete frame-off "concours" restoration; and, that would occur after you completed the entire restoration. Many of us own original numbers matching vehicles. What you want to do is document via pictures, etc. (as you are doing) numbers matching, original build sheets, etc. to demonstrate originality. You do not need/require any professional to perform this operation unless you're driving it onto the lawn for a championship judging contest.
thank you vc
I’ll keep doing the right things I’m looking for a driver/original got a lot of brains to pick LOL
and I hope I do the car right
J/K. Great start to a great car. When I saw the OG transmission, I mean literally OG as well, not just the tag, that's the proper code for the 70 442 TH400. So even before I saw you found the matching number I suspected original transmission.
Suggestion...take 400,000 photos of EVERYTHING as the car comes apart should you choose to do a frame-off. It'll be worth to do a complete job, I think. Not just to document placement of stuff, but also to note what's factory and what's not and decide if you wanted to change it back to original or not. It is not unusual to see some "altered" stuff after 50 years.
