Dinner at 2015 nationals

I have planned another dinner get together for whomever wants to attend? Thursday the 23rd at the Bonefish grill 18355 West Bluemond rd. at 7:00 PM. 2 miles away from the Sheraton. It has a top 3 rating by Trip advisor

I would like to have a head count for reservations either PM me or post here if you would like to attend or give me a shout on my cell 517-582-0404

Count my Wife Melissa and I in. I have a terrible time remembering names to faces to user names. Forgive me if I can't remember names and faces.

I'll bring the "HELLO - My (ClassicOldsmobile.com) name is ______" labels to stick on our shirts....along with a marker.

Looking forward to it and thanks for setting this up.

I called the restaurant and reserved under the name of Classic Oldsmobile. They do not have a private area, so we will have an area with several tables. Head count is around 17 now.

thanks,
Thanks Dave - looking forward to it as well!

Pictures????? - HA HA!! I'll see what I can get from Harry. He's a bit challenged, technology-wise, when it comes to digital pics, sending pretty much anything via E-mail (the most I've ever seen from him is an email he's forwarded occasionally), etc. I'll ask him to take some pics or get someone else there to take some and send them my way. My advice is don't hold your breath waiting on them but I'll see what can be done.

"Pictures!!???? We don't need no stinkin' pictures!"

I will be bringing the name tags and marker.

I may be down. That place isn't too huge. If this gains more steam we may have to rent a hall!

Okay, We have someone on the ground that's giving the place a no vote because it's on the small side. So I will put it up for a vote!

Do we want a change of venue? or stick with what's in hand.

Pat

I won't be attending the Nationals this year, still working on the bugs with the Cutlass.

Enjoy dinner and hopefully I'll be able to attend next year.

As long as they have adult beverages Pat, it doesn't matter to me - I'm sure we're coming for the company and not the cuisine.

I vote for change. We will attend if you change. IN my opinion Bonefish Grille are NOT GOOD and very pricey to boot. ($15.00 for a fish sandwich, for example).
Hope to see all of you there. Visit me in swap meet area. Car will be on show field.

The camaraderie is more important than the scenery, if the general consensus is neutral, then I would vote for a 'best fit' to the greatest population

Brett

PS, adult beverages are a definite positive!

I am in contact with Hairy Olds! He has some ideas for a better place to meet.

When we get a new spot to meet, I will post the particulars!

There is a champs americana just south of the hotel on the same main road. Its attatched to another hotel. That may be a bigger option and closer.

About 28 people have committed to dinner, some are family members of posters here. I believe that about 12 are members here.

Please let me know if you want to attend by no later than 7-21. Because I would like to let Champps have the final head count.

Pat

Bumping - hoping to get more CO members to attend.

It would be interesting to how know how many attendees do not know anything at all about Classic Olds. It is such a great resource - has it ever been mentioned in JWO?

That's a good question on the JWO. I do read it, but not word for word on every article.

Do we have a good writer on classic olds maybe who can do an article about C.O. and ship it off to JWO?
