Difference in Adjustments - 68 vs 70 Quadrajet?

I have a 7040250 (1970) quadrajet on my 68 350. I'm planning on adjusting it per the 68 factory service manual, but the 68 carb is different than the 70. I'll be able to figure out how to make the adjustments, but am wondering if the actual specs for gaps, etc... are different? This would be easier if I still had my 70 service manual.

You should set it up to 1970 specs. The 68 uses a divorced choke, the 70 uses an integral choke. The associated adjustments need to be for the design of the carb. Float level is probably less sensitive than you think, and accelerator pump and idle mixture get adjusted to what the car needs. Keep in mind that the factory adjustments for either year assume the fuel available at the time. E10 changes that.
