Determining rear end ratio

Is there another way to determine the gear ratio on a 69 Olds 98 besides removing the cover? The tag attached says only limited slip differential and shows no ratio data.

Fyi

It will be a 2.56 or a 2.93.

jack up the rear & turn the driveshaft counting the turns of the wheel. If it goes around 2.5 times it is a 2.56 & if it goes around almost 3 times it is a 2.93.

On the a body there is a two letter code on the axel
tube, on the pass side, between the pumpkin and shock
mount. Not sure if it is there on the b body, but I bet it is.
Could be stamped upside down as well. Check for the code
and it can be decifered through FAQ I belive.
