Delmont 88 in CT junkyard

There is a pretty complete Delmont 88 at Chuck and Eddie's in Southington, CT. Car still has the 425 (?) and switch pitch transmission.

C heads were used 1967-69. The 425 was optionally available in the 67 Delmont.

I owned a 67 delmont 88 convertible back in the early 70’s, I thought the 425 2 barrel engine was standard with a turbo 400 not a switch pitch..is this correct. I was like 15 at the time, grandfather insisted Ai buy the big sled versus a muscle car at the time..great car, not especially stylish for a 15 year old kid in 1974

Every TH400 used in an Olds in the 1965-67 model years came with the switch pitch trans.

At the risk of foul, another one available in CT but engine has mostly been shielded from weather. Seems like a good drivetrain donor.
