Geez people, lighten up and give the guy a break. It's like feeding on your own, he is an Oldsmobile owner just like most people here and a shifter lever on the column sure isn't any major catastrophe to get all bent out of shape over or a reason for name calling.
Maybe he didn't get around to installing the back drive linkage so he has to use the shifter to unlock the column and for the neutral safety switch to work, or that console is just sitting there? You cant figure out much without the ad link posted with the pic like it should be, he could explain it in the ad for all anybody knows.
And if you people who are so quick to judge have never done a boneheaded thing to a car or when working on a car in your life you're lying.

No dualgate that is a standard floor shifter.
I can't really tell but that column shift stalk looks larger than normal, course I'm thinking of 70 and the wood grain and door grabs makes me think that's a 72 so make the stalk was larger but it could have the rare windshield wiper delay which was built into the column shifter stalk. But of course then the floor shifter would not come in the car but that could explain why its there. or they just didn't take it off.

It's a nice looking car at a decent price but your right, it does bring everything else into question.
Looks like he did wood grain on the lower A/C duct valance. Interesting approach.

Acoustically, I don't see how it could work well.
The package shelf is not thick enough nor massive enough to provide sufficient stability or a sufficient barrier, and, similarly, there is not enough acoustic separation between the trunk compartment and the passenger compartment for proper isolation of the back side of the woofer in an "infinite baffle" installation.
