decisions decisions

ok, i kinda have a problem, but one most probably wouldnt mind having to make, ok

the thing is, i have a 1985 cutlass calais (i wrecked the 87 suggested in my username) at home with a 350 shortblock in it( i had made the mistake of puttin stock heads on a motor that had been decked and steep cam, had spring bind resulting in need of new heads), i have the new heads ready to put back on, but thanks to a father who has everything from hood emblems to wiring harness to many blocks, i have this question to ask, should i just slap the 350 back together?( i was runnin mid 8's in the 1/8 with it) or should i go for one of the 400's or 403, 425 or 455? i currently have the four speed auto, i think it is the 2004r from jegs thats rated at some insane amount of hp with a 2500 stall and a chevy 12 bolt with 3.90's in the car(which very well may come out and be swapped for a ford 9 inch so my old man can have his rear controll arms back), i am awaiting orders to ship overseas and need to make a decision on what to have my dad build on my budget while im gone.....suggestions?

i am obviously not currently home, or it would be done by now, and in these suggestions, remember i still wanna drive it on the street and plan on puttin nitrous in it so i can keep up with my old man on the strip....have at it...thank you in advance

Sounds like you already have a good engine and setup. I would stick with the engine you have. Put your new heads on it and let the engine scream.

It all depends on what you want it to do. What does your engine have in it. What has been done to it machine work, stroke, bore, cam, heads, intake, carb, and so on. Do want to loose a couple of tenths or a couple of seconds. Need a little more info.
