Data Plate Trim Code Decipher

Can anyone tell me what TR 088-C on a '65 442 data plate stands for as the trim code? I've checked '65 Olds data plate decoders online, and I can't find that trim code listed anywhere. I'm trying to determine whether a '65 442 came from the factory with Mojave Mist (T-T) exterior paint and some kind of red or off-red interior color. Thanks.

TR 088 doesn't exist in the trim table published in the factory parts book. Can you post a photo of the actual tag?

I should add that in the 1960s, the last digit of the trim code represented the color, and Olds was pretty consistent across the model years.

0 = black
1 = silver/pewter
2 = green
3 = blue
4 = gold/champagne/maize
5 = red/burgundy/garnet
6 = turquoise
7 = champagne (yes, this does duplicate "4")/white/ivory/parchment
8 = yellow/sandlewood/desert gold
9 = dubonet (toronado only)/saddle/sienna

The first digit typically tied to the model line.

0 = C-body and E-body cars (Ninety Eight and Toronado)
3 = B-body cars (Eighty Eights)
9 = A-body cars

This convention was used into 1972. A 1965 442 would have a trim code that started with "9". If it were a red, it would end with a "5". The middle digit would vary depending on bench or bucket and the specific body style.

Here's a photo of the data plate. I know, it's way too big, but with my skills, I'm lucky I got it on here at all.

I apologize for the error in my original post. I didn't proofread it well enough, and as a retired teacher, I'm ashamed of myself. The 442 in question is a '66, not a '65. I'm not sure how I got '65 in my brain because I did that across the entire post. In my defense, I'm recovering from the flu, so I'm not sure my brain is all there.

And that makes all the difference in the world. In 1966, your 088 trim code signifies a bronze interior with the custom sport bench seat (RPO A65). This is the bench seat with the armrest, and I suspect the "C" is "Custom Sport seat". The Custom Sport seat was the ONLY Olds A-body trim code that doesn't start with "9" .

I should add that the ACC codes decode as follows:

E = tinted glass
2K = A/C
2L = four speed floor shift
5V = W29 442 option
5Y = Deluxe seat belts

Yeah, sorry about that year screw-up, Joe, because I knew full well that it's a '66. So, apparently, someone changed the interior color completely from what would have been the gold interior that it came with. Thanks for the help.

Bronze, actually. What color is it now? No one offers replacement upholstery in the original bronze, so if it's been recovered, that's why it's a different color.

Yeah, bronze, not gold. The interior color now is a shade of red. I wish they had changed it to black as I would be more interested in the car if it had a black interior. IMHO, it would look better with a black interior, especially with the Sierra Mist (light gold-ish) colored exterior, but then again, to each his own.

the "Sierra Mist" is a light tan/bronze metallic (Pontiac actually called it "Martinique Bronze") - I had a '66 442 that was "Autumn Bronze" with the same "88" BRONZE bench seat interior
