Data plate info

I had the owner of a '70 W30 ask me a question to which I don't have an answer. He has a black bucket seat interior, code 930 on the data plate, but in front of that number he has a "Z", it's TR Z930, what is the "Z" for? I can't find info on it anywhere.

"We" (a number of us) have been trying to figure that out for years now to no avail. It shows up on quite a few '70 W30s. One day I expect to crack it, but haven't yet. It could help if you'd have him email me (wmachine@shubes.net) a pic (or the info) of his data plate to help populate the data pool for this code.

If you put too much data into the data pool the genes will get very annoyed...

Okay, I have a "lead" to pursue here. Is the Z possibly front shoulder belts? Feedback from those that have or know of this code, please!

Weren't shoulder belts standard by 1968? Perhaps it was the code for deluxe front seat belts/shoulder belts, or rear shoulder belts, which were optional at that time.

Thanks, you're quite right, front shoulder belts were standard in '70 (except for the convertible). Interestingly, You could get deluxe seat belts without getting deluxe shoulder belts. Deluxe shoulder belts were an additional option that also required deluxe seat belts.

Okay, now the question is:
Is the Z code possibly deluxe shoulder belts?
