Dash Lights out!
So my car recently was repainted and the floor boards were replaced...Seats and carpet out...console out....there was also some painting on the firewall...
When I get my car back the dash board lights are not working now. I can turn the knoball the way to the right and the floor lights turn on. But the dimming , brightness no longer works... Could the ( under he console wire ) not be connected properly? Does anyone know which wire that operates the dash lights is located ? connected? Firewall? under console? Cause it was working fine till i got my car back...

Which " grey " wire? And while you mentioned the fuses...the cigarette lighter doesn't work either....but never has since I've owned it.

Don't do it!
You don't want your cig lighter to work. The lighters in the 67 are notorious for making contact from vibration while driving and getting so hot that the dash melts around the lighter power outlet. If you need a power port add on either under the dash, in the ashtray, or under the seat. I've got two 67 dash cores melted around the lighter socket and have seen MANY more.

You don't want your cig lighter to work. The lighters in the 67 are notorious for making contact from vibration while driving and getting so hot that the dash melts around the lighter power outlet. If you need a power port add on either under the dash, in the ashtray, or under the seat. I've got two 67 dash cores melted around the lighter socket and have seen MANY more.

In this case, though, the likely culprit is your Tail Lights fuse (3rd one up from the bottom in the left-hand row, SFE9), which feeds both your tail lights and your panel lamps.
Failing that, the problem could be in the brown/white wire from the fuse box to the headlight switch, or in the headlight switch.

Yes that was my question as well. I did notice that the lower right bulb was out when I got it back ( They were polishing the tail light lenses ) When I went to put it back in I noticed it was "loosely fitted" now that I replaced the fuse I noticed that tail ( bottom right ) was out. So I took it out and noticed one of the contacts ( inside the bezel looked lower than the other. And I'm wondering if he tried prying it with a screw driver to pull the contact up? would that short out the fuse?
