Parking & dash lights went out...
Good morning OLDS enthusiasts. I have a bit of an electrical problem. My parking and dash lights went bye-bye while I was driving last night. A mechanic is estimating $98/hr to check it out (I ran for the hills, lol). Can you guys help me do some troubleshooting. I tried to attach a pic. Which fuse should I check?

Assuming this is the car in your avatar, there should be one labeled "TAIL" that feeds the park/tail/marker lamp circuit in the headlight switch. Thru the switch I think it also feeds the INST LPS fuse. I don't have my wiring charts handy so right now that's as specific as I can get.
Sometimes fuses blow from old age, but I'd check all the wiring closely. Odds are the trouble is at the rear of the car.

Replace the fuse or check both sides with a volt meter. 12V should be on both sides with light switch ON. The fuses sometimes break internally and not actually 'blow'.
Check to see the hood lamp connector and wire (brown) near the brake booster did not get pinched or shorted to ground, a common occurance.
