My father and I used to do Oldtown in the 90s. Their Friday show is 73 and newer, their Saturday show is 72 and older. We only went to Saturday with ours being 71. There are restaurants, and things to do, and beer. There are anything from 100-500 cars. It is the longest running weekly car show anywhere.

However, the reason it is so popular is it is a tourist attraction. Kissimmee, Cow Town, is the "budget" tourism area of Orlando. The people that come to Old Town often have no respect for cars. I saw a girl park her riveted butt on a General Lee replica for a picture. The last time my dad and I were there, we had to watch our car for people touching it. Puerto Rican presence is very large there, and, to be honest, there isn't much respect for white people with them, in addition to no respect for the cars. (Vice versa is probably true as well.)

I would not take an immaculately restored car to old town; too risky for the paint. It's worth doing once, especially how they parade the cars out at the end. If your car is not perfect, go, have fun, but keep an eye on the car, and an eye on the wallet.
