Craigslist SPAM

Craigslist SPAM
You all have seen it. You're browsing Craigslist to look at cool Oldsmobiles and there it is!
A 2003 Jeep Cherokee with pay here financing. Sold by your friendly neighbor, Fast Eddy.
I thought today as I was browsing Craigslist, when will this SPAM end? I believe Craigslist has rules about posting a car for sale and including car names as tags for searches. Apparently it isn't enforced very often.
This doesn't happen with DeSoto, Nash, Studebaker, etc. does it?

Funny thing though, they just closed down their 'Personals' section, due to abuse........LOL (not that I ever looked at them.......)
US Congress just passed HR 1865, "FOSTA", seeking to subject websites to criminal and civil liability when third parties (users) misuse online personals unlawfully.
Any tool or service can be misused. We can't take such risk without jeopardizing all our other services, so we are regretfully taking craigslist personals offline. Hopefully we can bring them back some day.
To the millions of spouses, partners, and couples who met through craigslist, we wish you every happiness!

It's not restricted to Craigslist. In Canada we have "Usedeverywhere" and other BST sites...my preference around here is the Used series. It's bad enough when the spam keywords bring up a 2011 Jeep in my search for old Olds, but we have the car lots blasting 30 ads for their cars up daily. And some of the lots are on the mainland (I'm on an island with enough of our own shady car lots thanks very much!).
If these BST sites aren't careful, their commercial listings are going to drive the target audience away.

Sometimes you can thin out the SPAM by setting the max year to 1985 or something. Then you get very few cars at used car lots. Unfortunately, this means you won't see the Olds Custom Cruisers, Regencies or 88/LSS from the early to mid 90s.
