Cowl tag info

I'm not sure if Olds used it, but Buick indicated rear seat belts in 1965 with a "G" in the Group 5 option codes on the cowl tag. Most of the GM divisions used common cowl tag option codes in those years.

Here's the Cutlass page out of the '65 Dealer Specs Book. It doesn't mention that seat belts, at least front ones, were standard equipment, but they must have been because option A62 was to have them deleted for an $11 savings. (Try to get the factory to delete seat belts today!).
Option A64 was to get rear seat belts that match the standard front ones. Option A39 was to get "deluxe" seat belts both front and rear. No mention of rear should belts or should harnesses or anything like that. I think it was about 1990 that cars starting coming standard with rear shoulder belts on the outboard seat positions.
