Correct trunk mat

What is the correct trunk mat for a 70 442 w30? Is it the black rubber one that says Oldsmobile or is it the blueish or black two pc one made of a material of some sort that goes on upper part of trunk also or is it nothing?

It's not the rubber one, may of been able to get one as a dealer option? Mine is two piece fabric type material.

Interesting question. Mine came with a material about 3/8" thick, black and it resembled Scoth-Brite......but didn't have the abrasive material. It wasn't very durable, but it was light weight. I found replacement material at a Menards in the carpet department roll 5 or 6 feet wide.

The black rubber trunk mat was an option (RPO B36) just like the B32 and B33 front and rear interior rubber mats. The 2-piece mat would have been standard. I believe the black rubber mat was put on top of the 2-piece mat if the car was ordered with the B36 option.

May have something to do with having spent much of my life in Canada, but most of the ones I've seen were the heavy rubber type. One thing I know for sure, though, is you don't want to use one in your car unless you're in a very dry climate -- they create insane amounts of condensation.

Scrappie, all of the trunk mats available are wrong. The 1970 mat is greenish.
