Smile Correct color stamp for Alternator

What color would the stamp be for the "AN" on a 1969 442? Blue, Black or Red? I have looked in the PIN and everything else I have. The decal that is on it now is white with blue letters. Please educate me. Thanks for the information!

PS- Joe P, you seem to always know these things..

It is a stamp with black ink. Those decals are what you typically get in those decal kit/packages/sheets

I had an NOS one for 70 and it had black ink. Not sure if 69 would have been the same?

If you want it to last, use StazOn ink by Tsukineko. "Jet Black". It stays on metal and other stuff like valve covers, etc.

Get a stamp made (about 1/2" high thereabouts in Helvetica capital letter font).

Just did an FP code for my A.I.R. pump refurbish.
