Convertible windlace

I totally disassembled my convertible rack on my 70 Cutlass to paint it, before having a new top installed. On the front header bow, I pulled a dry rotted windlace that I guess was used to cover the metal edge hazzard. Does anybody know where a new windlace can be purchased? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

I'm starting to do my frame as well and was looking for this. My original piece is pretty dried out/worn. It looks like it was originally black, but now looks like black & tan 'basket weave' from wear/age.

The closest I've found so far is for '67-'69 Camaro...

...but I don't know if this will fit (length?) or is correct material.

If you find it, let us know !

Try a local auto upholstery/upholstery supply place first if there's one in your area...if they have it then it will likely be the same stuff sold by any of the vendors. Black vinyl/rubber coated material with a metal core for retention and stiffness.

If you don't have any luck let me know.

An Ebay seller says the one for Camaro will work. I then asked if he would let me know the length, since a 442 has a wider roof, I want to know before I buy it. I will let you know his reply!

bought and installed the Camaro windlace. I cut off about 3 inches of excess
and it worked great.
