Convertable tops
Convertable tops
I am considering buying a top from OPG, and installing myself. Anyone done this before? Any tips? Where did you buy your tops? All my frame parts and hydraulics are in great shape, just the vinyl is shot. All advice is welcome.
Here are some good posts to look through.

In conclusion most would recommend a shop to do it due to complexity.
However, if you do wish to tackle it yourself, make sure you have the body manual handy, along with a well lit garage and lots of patience!

Convertable Top
I recently had a new top put on my convertable. I also thought about installing the top myself but after checking and looking around at some beautiful convertables with wrinkles in the top just above the quarter pannel I decided I did not want that. I checked around and took a good look at the work of professionals before I let them put my top on. I did not want wrinkles. It will probably cost you three hundred or so in labor but it is well worth it for a quality job.
