Hmmmmmmm, if only they were as simple as it sounds in that site's page.
There are some specialized brass bushings that wear out and the pins. Side transmissions/timeing of each side, yada, yada. When I "dragged" my Royal 88 of a hill-top in Pa. the top didn't work and someone must have tried forcing it down. I had to replace a lot of parts to get it working good before I replaced the top. Plus you have to find the spring loaded arms that go in the trunk if u put a glass window in the help "fold" the window into the well. When I "start" to put mine down I stop it half-way to make sure the rear glass window is folding flat/properly before putting the top all the way down, going up they say to "always" latch the pass-side first making sure alinement pins are right. Mine runs smooth now. I do have two extra assemblies that I have "robbed" parts off of one. Once you get them right they work good. The problems start when someone has a problem and thinks they can force them down.
Just my opinion, Ken
