I think that the GM Corporate LS series would be the candidate.
It's the best platform out there with NASCAR inspired head designed by Buick in the late 80's.

Northstar engines didn't do too well......

I mean no disrespect, but would another Camaro re-skin (or--per these pics--perhaps a Shelby Mustang) really do it? It seems to be working for Pontiac fans, as you can see when you search Google Images for "Camaro Pontiac."

In fact, while researching for some articles on upcoming Mecum auctions, I found these three you can see--and buy--right now (or nearly so):

Camaro/GTO Judge:
http://www.mecum.com/auctions/lot_de...35&lottype=car

Camaro/Bandit Trans Am (with "Chicken"!) Coupe
http://www.mecum.com/auctions/lot_de...34&lottype=car

Camaro/Bandit Trans Am (with "Chicken"!) Convertible
http://www.mecum.com/auctions/lot_de...26&lottype=Car

So tell me: is seeing "442" again worth the indignity of actually owning a Chevy? People sued over a Chevy ENGINE in their Oldsmobiles. God help anyone who puts "Oldsmobile" on an ENTIRE Chevy...

If I win this Mega Millions tomorrow night I'm going to start up my own custom shop making brand new 442's...I think 500 million ought to be enough to get me started I'm also going to reintroduce the '87 GNX to Buick fans lol!

The Cutlass was never a single platform......it was ALWAYS a shared platform with SEVERAL other GM cars.

GTO, Chevelle, Buick GS.....so to pretend it would be an individual with Oldsmobile retired.....is funny.

Keep dreamin.....

You'll have to do a "re-skin" with only 500 mil.
The new revision of the Chrysler 300 was $1 Billion.......for an existing car.
