Colonade value

Trying to do an appraisal on a 1976 442. Not many comps out there to choose from. NADA classic $11,400 for average retail.

Details are original owner(Oldsmobile retired) Lansing built 52,242 miles resale red. Car is solid with no rust at all on body and frame rails a little on the rear axle/drums. Typical leaks on engine and trans due to sitting. Rust repair and rear bumper replacement with full repaint in the mid 80's base coat and clear. Cowl tag matches color scheme inside and out. Brand new coopers with raised whites.

Options are as follows: Auto with console, 350 engine and transmission, tilt steering column, power steering and brakes AM/FM stereo. Window sticker and sales lit from 1976.

Flaws: drivers seat has some thread seperation. little paint rub through on right rear corner at filler. Door handle anchors are missing the inserts to cover the hardware, battery cable ends are replacements.

Sounds reasonable:

However, it's "Colonnade," with two n's. "Colonade" is fruit-flavored medicine you take before a colonoscopy.

I don't know if this helps.
I sold a 77 442 a few years ago. One owner Body on restoration(Body/paint/upholstery/engine/trans rebuild etc.) This particular car was special ordered in Chevy Daytona yellow and might be one of one in this color(Had build sheet stating dupont code and said 69 chevy daytona yellow)

At any rate i struggled to get 9K out of that car.

Hello Pat, nice looking car!

A few weeks ago, another member here on the board bought a well preserved, factory original '76 Cutlass 442 with a little less than 10K original miles. According to the story, the Original Owner got 11K for the car and the current owner bough it for somewhere in the ballpark of 12K or so.
