Those roaming downpours across the desert can be intense but they are also not typical. Glad you didn't have much trouble with them.

a request from you early birds- we'll be flying in wed, no rental car.. could you guys scope out the nearest 'beverage' dispensary so we can stock up on necessities.. .. i know a lot of states sell in gas stations drug stores and supermarkets, but never been to NM..I'm hoping the hotel might have a shuttle available but...

I wandered around today and looked at the cars that were there and picked up some parts at the swap. Met some real nice people and drooled over some of the parts I would like to have but can't afford right now. Will be nice seeing all the cars that will be there later this week too. I will be taking lots of pictures and leaving DNA samples all over the parking lot I'm sure.

Made it 1800 miles over a 3 day drive. Beautiful scenery along the way. Good to meet up with Joe and Patton and look at some great cars tonight.

Sadly we will not be there. Too many irons in the fire. We enjoyed last year, both meetings.

Wishing everyone safe travels and a good time. I would love to hear the quality control discussion, and the venue sounds spectacular for a bigger group.

Got here tonight , after scouting some of New Mexico's finest old car junkyards.
Found a '63 Dynamic in Las Cruces and scored some parts off it .
I will give a full report on the junkyard tour on the "junkyard dogs" thread later when I get home.
Got to meet Cincinatti Rick , J.Harsh , and Oldspackrat at the bar . Fun stuff .

Thanks to all the attendees. Had a great turnout at the meeting with a wide range of topics discussed. Also Bob Brannan did a "behind the scenes" discussion of what being a Zone Service Director for Oldsmobile was like back in the 60's to 80's.
