393800 CFD8 DR Huh?

I know I saw info on this but I have searched -- no luck. Read Diff info needed. 1970 Delta 88 / 455 2BL, Auto

Right side of center on yoke: 393800
Center of yoke: CFD 8
Left of center: DR
No markings to be found on tubes - and I scrubbed them... but just how small are the codes if on the tubes? Don't see'em.

Goal - what is it, and what will it cost to be anti-slip?

Thanks

Does it have 11" brakes? Joe would know for sure, but if it has the 11" brakes I think its likely a 9.3" rear end. Posi units are out there, but they're not very common. John

Big drums - every bit of 11" - not sure what other size they had - anything over 11 - i'd have to measure more carefully.

I think CFD is for Central Foundry Division. This is on just about every cast iron part.

As for the axle ID codes, they can be difficult to see due to being lightly stamped and rust, dirt, grease, etc on the tube.

Here's some shots of the codes on a couple of my O-Types:

Yup. Twelve bolt cover, twelve bolt 9.3" ring gear. That's the big car Type O. Parts are non-existent. These were only used in the Olds full size cars.
