Cleaning Vinyl Seats

What is a good cleaner (household or special product) for vinyl seats?

Can Simple Green be used?

I use Oxyclean in a pump spray, works well for me on difficult stains but I see no reason not to use Simple Green Or just soapy water if it's not to dirty..... Tedd

Simple Green works. I recommend putting it on a sponge or brush rather than spraying it on directly.

Depends upon how dirty the vinyl is. When I bought my car it had mildew all over the vinyl so I used a sponge and Formula 409 to scrub it all down. Now with recovered seats I simply wipe the seats and door panels with a damp cloth.

I used ZEP citrus based cleaner from Home Depot on the vinyl door panels of my 77 Toronado. Spray it on and rub with a scour pad pad then wipe off with clean cloth. Got rid of 40 years of gunk and came out looking almost new.

Dawn dishwashing liquid with warm or slightly hot water. Soft bristle brush. After drying use a quality vinyl conditioner from Meguires or Mothers.

Mr. Clean's Magic Eraser is helpful for smaller areas.

Simple Green works great on vinyl and you can cut it with water if you don’t need full strength.
